The spa bath was not working upon arrival. waited around a hour for this to be fixed.. there was 2 screw heads sticking out the spa which scrapped my leg..the sofa has no bottom to it. It is just material holding you up the underside is smashed in. The single seat arm was broken. It had clearly been super glued back togeather...the first floor was completely smelling of whiskey. Made me feel rather ill. i reported all these things to the male receptionist when we left in the morning to be told its due to refurbishing... no this is due to neglect. Totally unacceptable for the price!
Fantastic building pleasure to be the last guests before the refurbishment, hopfully get a nice surprise and a welcome back to see how much the country park hotel is tonight change.
We were very impressed with the hotel and the staff were very nice and friendly. The hotel is being refurbished at present and there is a bit of a mess in and around but hopefully for the better when finished. The hotel is closing after New year to complete the refurbishment and will re open in April 2019 hopefully they keep the same staff on as they were all very nice and friendly and nothing was to much they are a credit to the hotel. We shall return and hope that the hotel will still be the beautiful building and have the same atmosphere as just now. The room we were staying in had a 4 poster bed and was lovely. We will return thank you very much to the fantastic staff.
Pleasant enough. Perhaps getting a little tired round the edges and will no doubt benefit from the significant upgrade work planned. Still, good stay and service.
Beautiful Hotel that will exceed your expectations. The staff are by far the best i have seen of all the places I have stayed. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.The room was very clean, spacious and very elegant.
